French Toast Tower

French toast sticks with berries and sauces in ramekins

Looking for a delicious breakfast treat? Make the school holidays or weekend breakfasts fun with this French toast Tower recipe, it's so simple even the little ones can help!

Pair the dippers with some delicious sauces in ramekins to create an interactive and delicious breakfast. Check out the recipe below!


Ingredients:

2x slices of Brioche style bread – cut each slice into 3 fingers

1 egg

½ tsp vanilla

¼ cup milk

¼ cup cream

1 tbsp canola oil

¼ cup caster sugar

1 tsp cinnamon



Instructions:

1. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and set aside.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg, vanilla, milk and cream.

3. Dip and submerge brioche in egg mix to absorb liquid.

4. Heat canola oil in a frying pan on medium to high heat, then place French toast fingers in the pan

5. Turn on all four sides to get a golden brown colour on each side.

6. Once cooked, place each toast in the cinnamon sugar and toss to evenly coat.

7. Stack on a board or plate and serve with ramekins of sauces.


Suggestions for serving: Lemon curd, maple syrup, berry compote, whipped cream, honey, yoghurt.
