Chocolate Chip Cookies
Looking for a delicious recipe to try these school holidays? Try our chocolate chip cookies... because there's nothing better than a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven!
Ingredients:
125g butter at room temperature
1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
250g dark and white chocolate chips combined
Method:
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees
- Place butter and sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and creamy. Scrape down the sides to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed
- Add the vanilla and egg, and beat again
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt over the butter mix and stir until just combined, then fold through the chocolate
- Measure the cookie dough with a tablespoon and roll into balls, then place onto the baking tray 3cm apart. Flatten slightly with a fork
- Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until the edges start to turn golden. Remove from the oven straight away and let cool (or try one while they're warm, you won't be disappointed!)
