Columbus Coffee eGift programme Terms & Conditions
By using the Columbus coffee eGift programme, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you have any questions about this programme, please contact us on info@columbuscoffee.co.nz or 0800 100 110.
Registering for a Columbus eGift Account
To purchase an eGift card, you will need to create a login to keep track of your purchases and to make the check-out process easier.
Each Columbus Coffee customer is permitted to have one eGift login that will be allocated to one nominated email address when the customer registers online. Each email address may only be used for a single registration.
Once you have registered an eGift account, you will receive an email to activate your account, this will then prompt you to login where you will be able to view your account information, purchase history and check out faster using your saved details.
Columbus Coffee may grant or refuse a registration in its absolute discretion.
Ownership and Risk of an eGift card
Your Columbus Coffee eGift card is the property of Columbus Coffee NZ Limited (“Columbus Coffee”). You must not copy or reproduce your eGift card, and you must not interfere with the operation of the Columbus Coffee eGift programme or the virtual card.
Risk in the eGift card passes to purchaser or recipient upon electronic delivery to the nominated email address. The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate recipient details. Columbus Coffee is not responsible for eGift cards that are lost, deleted, intercepted or used by an unintended recipient after delivery.
Privacy
We value your privacy and we will never share your order, personal or payment details with anyone.
In accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 2020, we may collect personal information from you at the time of purchase. Personal information collected through the eGift card programme is used only for the purpose of identification or if we need to get in touch about your order. We will comply with the obligations set out in the Privacy Act 2020 in relation to the collection, security, access, use and disclosure of personal information.
You consent to the collection and use of personal information by Columbus Coffee when you purchase, receive, activate, are issued or use an eGift Card.
Recipient personal information is collected for the purposes of delivering and administering of the eGift card.
You will be added to our mailing list only if you opt in, you are free to unsubscribe at any time. Your email address will never be sold.
Your information can be viewed on your profile and it is your responsibility to update this information as necessary.
Payments and Security
Payments are processed by global financial payments system STRIPE to ensure all your personal and financial information is secure. Your credit card information is never captured or stored in our system.
To protect customers and the integrity of the Columbus Coffee eGift Programme, Columbus Coffee reserves the right to refuse, cancel or suspend any eGift card transaction where suspicious, fraudulent, unlawful or unauthorised activity is reasonably suspected.
Columbus Coffee may require additional verification or information before processing or honouring an eGift card transaction.
Order Queries
All orders received are final and the eGift card will be delivered to your intended recipient via email or text as per your order. Please double check your details are correct. If you do notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible and we will fix it.
Cancelling your eGift Account
If you would like to cancel your eGift account, please contact us on info@columbuscoffee.co.nz or 0800 100 110.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept responsibility for, and we will not be liable for, any loss or damage suffered by you, however caused, in connection with or arising from your Columbus Coffee eGift card or eGift card account or use of this website, including but not limited to:
Any delay in replacing your Columbus Coffee eGift card;
Any unauthorised use of your Columbus Coffee eGift card or your Columbus Coffee eGift account;
Any approved Columbus Coffee product not being available for any reason;
Any failure to credit you with a Columbus Coffee eGift balance;
Any problems or technical malfunction of the Columbus Coffee eGift programme, the virtual card, or any network or lines, servers or providers;
Any failure to notify you of any changes in these Terms; or
Any failure to notify you of cancellation of your Columbus Coffee eGift account or eGift card.
You hereby irrevocably hold us harmless from all claims, demands, actions and proceedings which you have or in the future may have against us, and shall indemnify and release us from all and any claims for damages or otherwise in the terms of, and in connection with or arising from your Columbus Coffee eGift card or use of this website or the Columbus Coffee eGift programme or the virtual card, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Columbus Coffee reserves the right at its sole discretion to change these terms and conditions, the terms of any of its special offers or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Columbus Coffee eGift programme at any time without notice. Any changes will be posted on this website.
In all matters relating to the eGift Programme, all decisions of Columbus Coffee will be final and by taking part in the Columbus Coffee eGift Programme you hereby agree to accept such decisions.
You may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and/or the Fair Trading Act 1986 which are not excluded or limited by anything set out in these Terms. Each exclusion or limitation of liability in these Terms and Conditions also applies to the owners and operators of Columbus Coffee, its related entities, franchisees, store operators and employees.
The Columbus Coffee eGift Programme is exclusive to CCNZ Ltd ("Columbus Coffee").
Columbus Coffee owns all copyright in the Columbus Coffee eGift Programme.
