Features
Completely automated, the machine features five programmable coffee push buttons. An LED screen displays messages (in one of seven languages) indicating settings, such as cup size, coffee strength and temperature.
Using its integrated 6-setting conical burr grinder (or bypass funnel for pre-ground coffee) and two-step brewing system, the machine creates short or long espresso or coffee topped with a rich layer of crema.
The spout adjusts to the height of your cup, while a light illuminates the cup area and a top heating plate pre-warms cups.
You can make up to 60 espressos before refilling, thanks to a removable 2.7 litrewater tank. Two independent ThermoBlock heating systems enable the machine to brew and froth or steam with no down time.
With the push of a button, the S9’s frothXpress Plus system siphons milk from its container, combines it with hot steam and automatically delivers hot frothed or steamed milk into your cups—ideal when you're entertaining.
For manual frothing and steaming of smaller milk quantities (for one or two cups) the programmable built-in dual frother produces continuous steam. The Claris filter removes impurities from water before brewing, which ensures a better tasting cup of coffee.
Other features include a programmable hot water dispenser, computer-controlled cleaning cycle and auto shutoff.
